For the first 5 years of Edmund’s career, he was an Air Force regular. Though he proudly served the country, he felt there was little opportunity to progress. This led to the decision that to accomplish more in his life, Edmund needed to step out from his comfort zone and explore other career options.
The golden opportunity arrived when a good friend explained what a career in Insurance industry could provide, namely, an excellent platform for growth, job satisfaction and personal development. The major push factor came when Edmund’s mother was diagnosed with major stroke that his father has to give up his job to take care of his mother. Edmund, coming from a low income family and both parents without insurance, struggled financially to keep up with his mother long term medical cost. With that, Edmund realised the importance of insurance. Ultimately cementing his decision to become part of the AIA family and helping others with their financial security.
After taking the leap of faith in March 2012, he has never looked back. 9 months into his journey, he has qualified for top 5 in his category, rising as top financial planner in 2012 and 2013 consecutively. From 2014 onwards, Edmund has attained MDRT (an international association for Top Financial Planners) the million dollar club consecutively year after year. In 2018 and 2020, Edmund has attained Court of the table (COT) and recognised as one of the top financial consultant in the world. These awards and personal milestones serve as his daily motivation, to constantly learn, improve, and work towards a better future for himself and his valuable clients. Today, Edmund is leading a dynamic team as a associate director and he wish to help those who trust him to pursue their dreams and be successful in this business.
